Introduction
I was inspired to write this series after attending the Nightingale awards celebration for nurses at the Pikes Peak Region DoubleTree Hotel in Colorado Springs. The Nightingale Committee of the Pikes Peak Region honors nurses eligible for the prestigious Colorado Nightingale award in the region. Witnessing the dedication and excellence of these nursing professionals reminded me of how technology can further empower their critical work.
The healthcare landscape is rapidly evolving, with artificial intelligence (AI) emerging as a transformative force across various sectors. As nursing faces unprecedented challenges—from staffing shortages to increasing patient loads—AI technologies offer promising solutions that can revolutionize patient care and support nursing professionals.
